CRITIQUE

the final crit of the final jacket all in all they are beautiful not much more can be said :D went well am very pleased they look amazing, they all go together and yet keep the uniqueness of the designers fingerprints within them which was 1 thing we were very keen not to lose out on they were all styled to tie in with trends from the promoters trend books and were a perfect example of how a team can work well together and yet still respect each other’s styles and not have to compromise overall verdict ... we rule!!

SHOWstudio

During the first term we went to the show studio fashion revolution exhibition at sommerset house, to research our understanding and preparing us for our theory unit, discussing the difference between interactive exhibitions and normal gallery exhibitions. although I’m not sure which I prefer I mean I really enjoyed the show studio one being able to interact with the exhibition and the live photo shoot was an amazing experience to watch but after on the way to meet back up at the coach I popped into the v & a museum took a little nosey around the fashion exhibition there and although it was just a static exhibition there were some lovely garments on show which were beautiful then leading me to question which do I prefer the interactive of the classical?? Ohhh lets see what conclusions we come to in the essay oh joy: /

Just done a photo shoot with Nancy and the pictures are looking pretty awesome she’s rather a good photographer and it’s something she really enjoys though our editing style differ but I still think the photos are amazing well done Nancy bravo hopefully this will bump up my portfolio

herd back from the competition and afraid it’s a no but hey ho maybe next time kind of done me a favour actually don’t think I’d be able to cope with the collection theory unit and all other things crazy and wonderful at units as well as trying to do all the work from that so never mind done us a favour actually lol see there’s always a bright outlook on things :)

hows the jacket going ?

well the jacket atm is going okay suppose got quite a bit to do but the beading is taking allot longer than thought but I think it’s well worth it looks amazing and adds a more vintage look which is what we were going for just laser cutting to go and then finish it all exciting now whoop

Year 3 wooop

On Friday we had tutorial about what we want from the 3rd year as for us I think it’s more tailored to what we want from the course which to me is an incredible opportunity I’m really looking forward to it now and can’t wait to hear more about it

For this session of PPRD we were given cards with things that companies would be looking for in hiring us on which we had to expand upon and go into more detail and explain why I found this session pretty helpful actually and rather informative we also looked at some real cool cv
To give us ideas on how to make our own stand out and look more attention grabbing which was really cool
